On the Further Testing of Feed bee I.

We started the testing of the natural pollen substitute diet for bees called Feedbee on the test station of the Research Institute For Animal Breeding and Nutrition (ATK) Department of Bee-Breeding and Bee-Biology at Widoliti and at two other apiaries in the spring of 2008 on behalf of Vernalis Bt. (www.feedbee.hu) and the Canadian license owners.

According to the results of the experiments made in the spring of 2008, the breeding of bee colonies with 65%, the population with 38% and the egg-laying ability of the bee queen per day with 44% exceeded compared to the results of the control colonies.

We have already published the first test results in the July edition of 2008 of Méhészet(Hungarian beekeepers’ magazine). Now we would like to summarize the confirmation of that and the further experiences we have got since, and which confirm in more aspects the first results.
